AI-based predictive maintenance

Raytheon is working with the US military to develop artificial intelligence (AI) technology that will be able to predict the repair schedules of the CV-22 Osprey aircraft’s radar in order to avoid unnecessary maintenance and expenses. The AI tool is designed to predict maintenance schedules and determine the materials, equipment and personnel required for tasks.
The tool uses existing CV-22 data to predict schedules. “We’re always interested in finding new ways to integrate AI tools, especially commercial tools, into our operations,” said Matt Gilligan, Vice President of Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services.
