IMSS 2025: a hub for practical maintenance solutions

11/09/2025

The Industrial Maintenance Solutions Summit (IMSS) is set to return to the Coventry Building Society (CBS) Arena in Coventry on 16 September 2025. Following its well-received debut last year, the free-to-attend one-day event is continuing its mission to provide practical insights and effective solutions for maintenance professionals.

“IMSS once again offers a valuable opportunity for engineers, technicians and anyone involved in industrial maintenance,” said Rachel Godfrey, IMSS Event Director. “Whether you are looking to stay ahead of industry trends, explore cutting-edge tools and technologies or network with peers, this is the event for you.

IMSS returns to Coventry’s CBS Arena on 16 September 2025. With event partner Kimberly-Clark Professional and sponsors WD-40 and Eriks Industrial Services, the free-to-attend one-day event will bring together leading brands and promises a content-rich agenda led by industry experts

“And with a free lunch for attendees and easy access via an on-site train station and free parking, IMSS is a must-attend event for maintenance professionals,” she added.

Sponsored by WD40 and produced by the team at Industrial Plant & Equipment magazine, IMSS 2025’s informative content programme is designed to address the day-to-day challenges faced by maintenance personnel in the field.

The Summit’s informative content programme will be delivered by subject-matter experts who possess both extensive maintenance knowledge and hands-on experience.

Back by popular demand, Andy Gailey, Managing Director at Uptime Consultant, will return as one of the speakers at this year’s summit, with his session set to highlight the continuing importance of reliability-centred maintenance (RCM).

“IMSS is a space for those looking for applicable solutions to meet today’s business needs,” Andy affirmed. “It has been nearly 47 years since the seminal RCM report from Nowlan and Heap back in 1978.

“This year, my session will explore where RCM principles can still add value in the context of 2025’s challenges,” he explained.
Rodrigo Costa, UK Principal at Kaizen Institute Western Europe, is part of the roster of expert-led speakers at this year’s IMSS. His presentation will discuss how continuous improvement principles can help enhance a company’s maintenance strategy.

“In today’s fast-evolving industrial landscape, combining Kaizen principles with Maintenance 4.0 capabilities allows organisations to move beyond reactive and even planned maintenance, towards truly predictive and value-driven operations,” he explained. “By harnessing digital tools while embedding a culture of continuous improvement, companies can unlock new levels of reliability, efficiency and long-term competitiveness.”

Also presenting will be Simon Mills, Chair of the BINDT Technical Committee, and David Manning-Ohren, Chair of BINDT’s CM Sub-Committee.

A number of leading brands have already signed up to present their products and solutions at IMSS 2025, including event partner Kimberly-Clark Professional, conference programme sponsor WD-40 and catering sponsor Eriks Industrial Services, together with BINDT, UE Systems, Acorn Industrial Services, MaintMaster, SPM Instrument UK, Easy-Laser, IndySoft Europe and more.
