UK AI specialist teams up with US sensor maker

IntelliAM, a UK technology company specialising in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning technologies for manufacturing, has formed a partnership with Connection Technology Center (CTC), a US sensor maker, to co-develop smart sensing systems for the US manufacturing sector.
The collaboration brings together IntelliAM’s artificial intelligence platform with CTC’s sensing devices to create dual-branded hardware that integrates with IntelliAM’s system. It will help US manufacturers to bridge critical data gaps and provide them with real-time insights on asset performance, reliability and predictive maintenance.
“This partnership represents a critical step forward in delivering our vision,” said Tom Clayton, CEO of IntelliAM. “By combining our AI-driven insights platform with dual-branded advanced sensory technology, we are enabling a new level of data completeness and operational visibility for our customers.”
“This agreement marks a major milestone in bringing our jointly developed technology to the US market,” added Todd Cook, President and CEO of CTC. “We are proud to support IntelliAM in delivering data-driven solutions that close the gap between physical assets and digital intelligence. Together, we are building tools that will help shape the future of industrial performance.”
The partnership strengthens IntelliAM’s international presence and supports its plans for further expansion into the American market. The company recently won its first US order from a food manufacturer, which will see its systems installed at three manufacturing sites.
IntelliAM claims that some of the world’s largest manufacturers, including half of the world’s top 12 food and drink producers, are already using its machine learning and AI technologies to analyse billions of manufacturing data points to improve uptime, cut costs and extend the lives of their critical assets.
Last year, IntelliAM formed a partnership with SKF to embed its machine learning platform into SKF products.
Based in South Yorkshire in the UK, IntelliAM was founded in 2023, tapping into the manufacturing expertise of 53 Degrees North (53N), an asset care company that was established more than a decade ago and now acts as IntelliAM’s engineering consultancy division.
CTC, headquartered in New York, USA, designs and manufactures industrial condition monitoring hardware for predictive maintenance. Its portfolio includes wired and wireless accelerometers, piezo-velocity transducers, 4-20 mA vibration sensors, proximity probes and test and measurement sensors.
