New SGS Industrial Services office in Abu Dhabi

In February 2009, SGS Industrial Services expanded its presence with a new office in Mussafah, the industrial area of Abu Dhabi.Abu Dhabi is a major hub for the oil and gas industry in the Middle East, and national and international oil companies are concentrating on developing their assets in the region. Such developments, through the need for people, material and utilities, have generated an ever-increasing demand, thus triggering additional infrastructure investment for power generation and transportation as well as water desalination. Following the trend, the key supply industry, and in particular the EPC companies, have moved to establish new offices in the UAE.
Abu Dhabi is ideally located for connections with India, the Caspian region and Asia in general, and these are strategic areas in terms of current industrial development, and areas where SGS contemplates the potential for high growth rates.
The new office is shared with the SGS Gulf Limited Industrial Services Division, Global Industrial Sales and Marketing team members and Global Non-Destructive Testing business managers as well as local NDT experts.
Locally, this new office is strategically positioned in the heart of the main industrial area, in close proximity to major client operational centres, thus facilitating close communication and more efficient coordination when delivering SGS services.
