The new division expands on the company’s core inspection strengths and offers a combined package of services to the offshore drilling and production markets, including derrick inspection and upgrades, electrical construction, EX surveys, steel erection, lifting gear examination and more.
Demonstrating commitment to its offshore customers, Axiom Offshore Services operates from an office in Aberdeen, as well as from the company headquarters in Glasgow.
A new website has accompanied the launch and full information on both Axiom NDT and Axiom Offshore Services can be found at www.axiomndt.co.uk

In a hectic 12-month period, Axiom has attained membership of the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (passing its audit in October 2010) and has become a development member of the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association – reiterating its commitment to the training and professional development of its staff.
In line with recent company restructuring, Axiom has welcomed a few new faces over the past year, including:
- Joel Telling, Operations Manager, Axiom Offshore Services. An IRATA Level 3 rope access supervisor, Joel is responsible for the day-to-day running of Axiom Offshore Services, as well as maintaining the high standard of rope access operations.
- Sandy Martin, Operations Coordinator, Axiom Offshore Services. Sandy brings years of HR and
logistical expertise to her role at Axiom and is the first point of contact for offshore enquiries.
Following a recent audit, 2011 will be Axiom’s 12th year as a Lloyds EMEA-approved supplier, as well as being approved by ABS, DNV, BV, FPAL and FMC.The past year also saw Mark Burns make an impact in his new role as Inspection Manager and the sad departure of Liz Stewart who, having been with the company since the very beginning, retired in 2010. The unenviable task of replacing Liz has fallen to Carla Logan, who has risen to the challenge admirably.
