ESR Technology appoints new CEO

ESR Technology has announced the appointment of Pat Lawless to the role of Chief Executive Officer. "Pat Lawless joins us at an important milestone in ESR Technology's journey, which has taken it from public to private sector and from niche specialisation to one of the UK's leading engineering, safety and risk management consultancies," said Andrew Paszkowski, Chairman of ESR Technology. "His key role will be to accelerate the growth of the business, especially in the Middle East."
Aged 52, Pat Lawless was previously CEO of Bureau Veritas's operation in the UK and Ireland. He brings a wealth of experience of the sectors served by ESR Technology and has a special interest in the oil and gas and aviation industries. Before Bureau Veritas, he undertook senior roles in PricewaterhouseCoopers, Barclays and Thales. His earlier career included service in the British Army, from which he retired as a Brigadier General, and the former Rhodesian Army. He holds an MBA from Manchester Business School and is a Chartered Director.
