Sonovation joins oil and gas industry leading inspection forum

HOIS membership rises to record numbers with addition of leading NDT companyESR Technology, one of the UK's leading engineering, safety and risk management consultancies, has announced that one of Europe's leading advanced non-destructive testing (NDT) companies, Sonovation, has joined its HOIS forum.
ESR Technology hosts and manages HOIS, which is the primary industry forum for discussing inspection issues and exploiting improved inspection technologies for applications in the oil and gas industry, with a particular focus on upstream areas.
"I am really looking forward to working with my new colleagues in HOIS and see this as an excellent route to forward Sonovation's aims in advanced non-destructive testing," said Jan Verkooijen, Managing Director of Sonovation. "I am confident this forum will prove to be the primary vehicle for the early introduction of validated technology into the offshore industry."
HOIS is now a well-established joint industry project. Its record membership of twenty-five includes major multi-national oil and gas companies, leading inspection service companies, two of the world's largest NDT equipment suppliers and a national regulatory authority. Member organisations cover a wide geographical area including Europe and North and South America.
