New Managing Director heads up senior management arrivals at Applus RTD UK

Inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT) specialist Applus RTD UK Ltd has appointed Dave Andrews as its new Managing Director, heading-up a restructured senior management team geared towards further global growth.Mr Andrews (60) arrives with a wealth of experience in business management across the energy sector and will focus on spearheading greater growth and improved efficiency across Applus's operations in the North Sea, UKCS and beyond.
He heads up Applus RTD UK Ltd, leading operations in Aberdeen, Falkirk, Teesside and Great Yarmouth, and will be supported by the firm’s existing senior staff and new arrival Graham Bisset, who joins as Marine Projects Manager.
Mr Andrews, a former manufacturing industry business manager who spent 17 years in the oil and gas sector with engineering specialist Hydratight and has also worked in automotive manufacturing, is a committed practitioner of the kaizen method of continuous improvement.
"My primary aim is to help make Applus RTD UK Ltd even more successful, working with the experts we have in every area of the business to strengthen it even further and put greater efficiency at the heart of everything we do," says Dave Andrews.

In line with the company's strategic growth plans, Applus RTD UK is increasing its entire workforce and the management team will be further strengthened by the appointment of a new business line manager David Ward. Mr Ward will be based in Teesside and focus on the firm's onshore business.
Applus RTD UK works across the offshore oil and gas and marine sectors, as well as land-based projects. It has some 350 staff in the UK, delivering comprehensive inspection and integrity management services, specialist training in areas such as rigging and lifting, roof-top safety and manual handling awareness as well as emergency first aid.
