ATH NDT Consultants gains accreditation of NDT Training Organisation from BINDT

ATH NDT Consultants has seen its business grow from the start of 2012 and has now moved in to new facilities in its home town of Earby, nestled in the north of England. The facilities can provide non-destructive testing of components from all industry sectors, including aviation, steel structure, shipping, marine and the majority of NDT methods.ATH NDT Consultants has also decided to carry out NDT training at its new facility and as such has recently acquired authorisation from The British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT) to provide training and examinations for the NDT methods of penetrant testing, magnetic testing and materials evaluation. This was achieved through an initial audit carried out by BINDT to become an Accredited NDT Training Organisation.
This new service provided by ATH NDT Consultants has been created via the need for training and examination of inspectors who currently work for the prestigious clients that ATH NDT Consultants already serves through its Outside Agency Level 3 services.
The training will also be available to anybody who wishes to learn about NDT or feels they would like to start a career or further their NDT knowledge.
Applicants can extend training hours according to their own needs and current skills. In addition, ATH NDT Consultants offers training for the non-NDT professionals, such as sales, marketing and management personnel, to provide basic knowledge on both theory and practice, which can help them to better understand and develop NDT marketing, as well as improve their management and business skills.
Tony Heaton, NDT Level 3 Senior Consultant at ATH NDT Consultants, said in a statement that he is extremely proud to have acquired authorisation from The British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing to conduct BINDT-accredited NDT training courses. “I feel that this will not only cement the company’s working relationship with existing clients but hopefully will also show prospective clients our ambition to become a market leader in the world of non-destructive testing,” said Heaton.
