Major investment for Lavender International at AMP Sheffield

08/08/2013

Lavender International has taken the decision to move its ultrasonic training programmes, including manual, plate, pipe, node, nozzle, castings, wrought products, advanced ultrasonic time-of-flight diffraction (TOFD) and phased array (PA), to a single floor at the Advanced Manufacturing Park Technology Centre near Sheffield. This will put Lavender International at the forefront of quality training and facilities with effect from 2 September 2013.

There are three rooms for manual ultrasonics and separate
workshops and lecture rooms for TOFD and phased array, as well as rest areas, staff offices and further classrooms. Once the rooms have been completed, Lavender International will be organising an official opening with organised tours of the new facility.

The rooms that will be vacated at Lavender HQ in Penistone (Sheffield) will be renovated and refurbished to allow for materials testing, visual testing, eddy current, ACFM and expansion of the radiography programme.

“This all constitutes a major investment in our training facility, which we are happy to recommend to you,” said Steve Lavender.
