Silverwing supports local distributor at COTEQ 2013

12/08/2013

The 12th Conference on Technology Equipment (COTEQ), organised by The Brazilian Association of Non-Destructive Testing and Inspection (ABENDI), with The Brazilian Association of Corrosion (ABRACO) and The Brazilian Institute of Oil, Gas and Biofuels (IBP), was this year held in the Enotel Resort & Spa in Porto de Galinhas. It returned to the north east of Brazil, one of the main centres of industrial development in the country.

Over 2000 participants were expected, including specialists, engineers, technicians and researchers related to non-destructive testing, inspection, equipment integrity, failure analysis, corrosion and painting and other stakeholders.

This year the focus was on equipment for corrosion technology. Silverwing joined forces with its local distributor BC Trade.

Silverwing exhibited its Floormap 3D tank bottom inspection system, along with the new RMS2 ARC high-speed remote access corrosion mapping system, which is designed to operate longitudinally on pipe diameters from 24" to 48". The combination of longitudinal pipe scanning at 60° scan widths brings a major improvement to inspection efficiency for pipeline applications, while maintaining the high standard of data quality associated with the RMS2 system.

Silverwing Global Sales Manager, Matthew Kircough, commented: “The feedback received from existing clients and potential new clients was that the event had been successful in raising awareness of the latest advanced solutions offered by Silverwing. This was a great opportunity for Silverwing to meet with its client base in Brazil and highlight the latest results of its continued drive to deliver improved accuracy and efficiency though each step of the inspection process. I would like to thank all delegates who took the time to visit us at the BC Trade stand.”
