Supporting the delivery of Level 3 PAUT training and PCN examinations in South Africa

Earlier this year, Kristian Hampson, Argyll Ruane’s Group Technical Manager and Level 3 Consultant, supported the delivery of a Level 3 phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT) course in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Collaborating with the African NDT Centre (ANDTc) Ltd, this training equipped students with essential knowledge and skills, preparing them to undertake examinations in line with the PCN (ISO 9712) certification scheme.
The course attracted participants aiming to enhance their expertise and achieve a globally recognised Level 3 PAUT qualification. Training covered a comprehensive range of topics, focusing on the inspection of general engineering materials, components and fabrications in both pre-service and in-service settings across various sectors.
Based in Constantia Kloof, Roodepoort, ANDTc offers a broad selection of accredited NDT courses to professionals in South Africa. Since 2017, Argyll Ruane has collaborated with ANDTc to provide Level 2 PAUT and time-of-flight diffraction (TOFD) examinations. More recently, they have expanded their offering to include Level 3 PAUT training and PCN examinations.
