Thermal training for the new and the experienced
04/02/2011

“Anyone using thermal imaging must have a thorough grounding in the principles and the application of infrared, regardless of their professional qualifications,” explains ITC Manager North EMEA, Jon Willis. “Stinting on this important element can compromise the substantial cost- and time-saving potential of the technology.”
FLIR has always attached considerable importance to training but now its programme is more fulsome than ever. In addition to the one-day foundation course, an extended two-day alternative has now also been introduced. Additionally, FLIR is running courses for electrical surveying and building sciences with the express purpose of providing dedicated applications advice.
All ITC instructors are experienced thermography specialists and all ITC courses combine theory with practice, so that attendees benefit from a comprehensive hands-on learning experience. ITC welcomes users of all brands of thermal imaging cameras, not just FLIR.
For those wishing to gain professional qualifications in thermal imaging, certification training to ISO/PCN standards is also provided by the ITC. Throughout 2011, Level 1 courses are scheduled in six cities in the UK and in Dublin. Dates of two Level 2 courses have also been confirmed, both of which will be held at the UK ITC in West Malling.
