Exova’s Birmingham food testing facility appoints new General Manager

Exova, the global testing, calibration and advisory services provider, has appointed Iain Gibson as General Manager of its food testing facility in Birmingham, UK.
In a career spanning 27 years, Iain has held a number of senior operational management roles within leading organisations, including Mars, Pilkington and Premier Medical Group.He also brings a wealth of experience of the testing industry, having been Managing Director for Alcontrol Laboratories’ environmental business in the UK and Ireland.
Most recently, he worked as Operations Director for Wells and Young’s Brewing Company, the largest independent family brewer in the UK, where he led a drive to increase production efficiency and output.
Phil Coles, Exova’s Health Sciences Director in Europe, said: “Iain has a proven track record in delivering growth in highly-competitive, customer-focused markets. In his new role, he will lead our team of experts in Birmingham to help ensure our customers continue to meet the highest standards of food safety.”
