11/02/2026
Kaefer UK & Ireland, a leading provider of technical industrial services, has announced plans to relocate its Head Office to the Live Works development on Newcastle’s Quayside, marking a significant investment in its future growth and continued commitment to the North East.
Currently based at its Jarrow Fabrication Facility, the relocation will see Kaefer transition its central support functions to a modern, city centre workspace designed to support collaboration, innovation and team wellbeing. Situated within the landmark Live Works development, the new office places Kaefer at the heart of Newcastle’s vibrant Quayside community, a location known for its connectivity, culture and expanding business ecosystem.
Kaefer has operated in the North East for more than 50 years, delivering major projects across the energy, industrial, nuclear and defence sectors. The relocation reflects the company’s long-term strategy to strengthen its regional presence, attract new talent and provide its teams with a high-quality workspace that enables future growth.
“Relocating our Head Office to Newcastle represents an exciting next step in our journey. As our business continues to evolve, we want to create an environment that supports how we work today and how we will work in the future. Newcastle’s Quayside offers the right setting for collaboration, innovation and long-term success. Our roots in the North East remain incredibly important to us and this investment reflects our continued commitment to the region and its people,” said Chris Foulkes, CEO of Kaefer UK & Ireland.
The Live Works office will offer contemporary meeting spaces, digital collaboration tools, breakout areas and flexible working zones, all designed to bring teams together and support a more connected way of working. Its location provides enhanced access to public transport, local amenities and the city’s growing talent pool.
As part of its expanding presence in the city, Kaefer is also forming a new partnership with The Glasshouse International Centre for Music as a Platinum Business Champion.
Kaefer will retain its Jarrow Fabrication Facility, which will continue to operate as a core delivery hub within the business.
The relocation is scheduled to take place in early 2026.
