TPAC Explorer now supported by UTEX Scientific

TPAC has announced a new collaboration with UTEX Scientific, a recognised leader in ultrasonic inspection software for the aerospace industry.With the release of IW Scan 1.3, TPAC’s Explorer phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT) instrument is now fully supported within IW Scan, bringing a new level of software interoperability to its customers.
UTEX is widely known for its expertise in ultrasonic inspection systems and advanced non-destructive testing (NDT) software. Applications built on the InspectionWare platform are used across aerospace manufacturing, immersion tank systems and robotic inspection environments.
It is deployed in several qualified processes at major aerospace original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), making it one of the reference toolchains in the sector.

The UTEX NDT Suite is built around four integrated applications: IW Scan for set-up and data acquisition; IW Evaluate for advanced analysis and reporting; IW Plan, an inspection and path programming tool; and IW Automate for automation sequences and system integration.
Together, they form a complete workflow solution widely adopted in high-end aerospace and automated ultrasonic testing (UT) systems.
With the new release, Explorer is fully compatible with IW Scan, allowing users to collect and visualise data directly within UTEX’s software environment.
Once data is acquired, all advanced analysis tools in IW Evaluate become available, providing a seamless transition from acquisition to evaluation.
This integration reinforces Explorer’s suitability for immersion tanks, gantry systems, robotics via IW Automate and custom UT machines. It also ensures smooth interoperability within established aerospace workflows that rely on the UTEX NDT Suite.
