Applus+ strengthens US presence with acquisition of Keystone Compliance

Applus+, a global leader in testing, inspection and certification, has announced the acquisition of Keystone Compliance, a renowned testing company based in the USA. This move reinforces the company’s commitment to the North American market by expanding its local testing capabilities and providing end-to-end testing and certification services for manufacturers across a wide range of sectors.
Founded in 2007, Keystone Compliance operates state-of-the-art laboratories in New Castle, Pennsylvania, and Durham, North Carolina.
The company specialises in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)/electromagnetic interference (EMI), environmental and packaging testing. The expertise of Keystone Compliance spans across various industries, including electronics, medical devices, aerospace and defence and the energy sectors. In 2023, the company reported revenue of €8m (approximately £6.6m).
This acquisition significantly enhances the service offering of Applus+ Laboratories. This division is now better equipped to support manufacturers in meeting product safety and reliability requirements for both the North American and European markets.
