New appointments for Magnaflux UK

Magnaflux, the leading global player in the supply of magnetic particle and dye penetrant inspection equipment and associated chemical products used for non-destructive testing (NDT), is poised to implement the next stage of its growth strategy.As part of the company’s ongoing investment to support the growth of chemical product sales, Magnaflux UK, based in Swindon, has announced the appointment of Gath Cheyne as Chemical Sales Manager and Peter Pritchard as Chemicals Product and Marketing Manager.
Gath Cheyne has extensive experience within the NDT market, which commenced in 1998 whilst Gath was in the RAF. On leaving the service, Gath continued within the sector at Prüftechnik as its NDT Sales Manager, where he specialised in in-line eddy current inspection systems. Prior to joining Magnaflux UK, Gath was the Southern UK Area Sales Manager for GE Inspection Technologies, where he focused on sales of eddy current and ultrasonic hand-held equipment. Gath’s skills and experience will be a great asset to Magnaflux UK, where he will be responsible for management and growth of the company’s Magnaglo®, Spotcheck® and Zyglo® ranges within the UK/Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Peter Pritchard brings a wealth of business-to-business product management and marketing experience to Magnaflux UK, having had roles spanning both the private and public sectors. Most recently, Peter worked as a Product Manager within the National Chemical Emergency Centre based in Harwell, where he managed a market-leading online product to support a company’s chemical safety documentation management. Qualified in both marketing and chemistry, Peter’s role will involve managing Magnaflux’s chemical product portfolio and will be pivotal in driving the company’s growth plans for expansion. Key to this growth will be the mapping of changing customer requirements to drive both market development and product innovation.
