IDS launches new event-based cameras

30/07/2025

IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH has launched a new camera in its uEye camera line, the uEye EVS. The camera has a USB3 interface that achieves speeds of up to 5 Gbps. It is equipped with a Prophesee-Sony IMX636 complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor sensor (CMOS), which is designed to capture only relevant motion in an image. The sensor has 0.92 MP, 1280 × 720 resolution, is light sensitive up to 40 mlux with 120 dB high dynamic range (HDR), performs scene-controlled events with a 1 μs time resolution and utilises less data, between 10× to 1000× less than image-based sensors.

The uEye EVS cameras are specifically designed machine vision applications requiring very high-speed image processing, such as optical monitoring of vibrations, high-speed motion analyses, bin picking, depalletisation and object tracking.
