Steven Parkinson, UltraFlux NDT, said: “Having worked closely with CDL Group for the past three to four years, we have developed a strong professional relationship built on mutual trust, shared values and a commitment to delivering high-quality NDT services. Throughout this time, it has become increasingly clear that our businesses complement one another exceptionally well, both in terms of technical capability and the markets we serve.
“Just as importantly, our work ethic and approach to customer service are closely aligned. We share the same commitment to quality, integrity and continuous improvement, which has made collaboration both productive and enjoyable.
“This acquisition marks an exciting new chapter for both organisations. By combining our strengths, expertise and resources, we believe there is significant potential for growth and development in the years ahead. We are genuinely excited about the opportunities this partnership will create and look forward to building an even stronger future together as part of the CDL Group.”
Edward Cadenne de Lannoy, CDL Group, commented: "2026 has been an extremely exciting year of growth for CDL Group. Following on from another acquisition earlier in the year with WeldEng, our partnership with Ultraflux NDT further strengthens our technical capabilities and supports our commitment to providing clients with trusted expertise, innovative solutions and industry-leading service.
“What began as a local company 13 years ago has grown into a business that works with customers not only nationally but globally and the acquisition of Ultraflux is another really exciting milestone for us. Despite our national reach, Mid Wales remains at the heart of everything we do. We are passionate about investing and supporting local businesses and showing that companies based in rural Wales can compete and succeed on a national stage.
“Ultraflux has built an excellent reputation and has a talented team behind it. By bringing together complementary skills and experience, we are better positioned than ever to support organisations across welding, inspection, ISO certification and compliance activities."
The two companies look forward to building on the strong foundations already in place, ensuring continuity for existing customers while creating new opportunities for growth, collaboration and innovation in the years ahead.
