As of May 2026, Foerster has transferred its heavy plate testing system Plateproof to IDS GmbH, a member of the Rosenxt Group, as part of the ongoing strategic development of its company and technology portfolio.For many years, Plateproof has been a trusted solution for automated ultrasonic inspection of heavy plates, supporting demanding inspection applications around the world. By becoming part of IDS GmbH, the technology joins an organisation with decades of experience in heavy plate testing and a dedicated focus on advancing the field for the future.

Foerster believes that Plateproof is moving into an environment that will further strengthen the technology and actively shape its future, creating the foundation for the next stage of development with a clear focus on innovation, continuity and long-term customer value.
For its customers, much remains unchanged.
Foerster will continue to be globally responsible for after-sales activities, including service, phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT) support, spare parts and wear parts. Its subsidiaries will continue sales and service activities for plate inspection systems, while its established sales partners will remain the familiar points of contact in their respective regions.
The combination of IDS’s technological focus and Foerster’s global service and support network creates the ideal conditions for the future of the Plateproof technology.
