ESR Technology's HOIS membership increases over past twelve months

Primary industry forum for discussing inspection issues in the oil and gas industry sees significant rise in membersESR Technology, one of the UK's leading engineering, safety and risk consultancies, has announced that its HOIS forum has seen a 35% increase in membership numbers over the past year.
ESR Technology hosts and manages HOIS which is the primary industry forum for discussing inspection issues and exploiting improved inspection technologies for applications in the oil and gas industry with a particular focus in upstream areas.
HOIS is a well-established joint industry project. Its members include major multi-national oil and gas companies, leading inspection service companies, two of the world's largest NDT equipment suppliers and a national regulatory authority. Member organisations cover a wide geographical area including Europe and North and South America.
The main focus of HOIS is to:
- develop improved procedures and recommended NDT practices within the oil and gas industry.
- perform independent evaluation trials to assess techniques and understand their benefits and limitations.
- develop new inspection techniques, technologies and equipment.
