Specific technologies that are available through this co-operative effort are: Smart Mat Belt ICCP retrofit system for FPSOs; SunStation subsea cathodic protection monitoring systems; RetroClamp subsea clamping system; SmartMat cathodic protection stabilisation mattress; SeaCorr cathodic protection modelling & design services; DCP (diode controlled cathodic protection); RCP (resistor controlled cathodic protection); and cathodic protection inspection equipment and services.

Torbjørn Sotberg, Market Director, FORCE Technology Norway, said: "We have known Deepwater for many years and have already seen the capability of their cathodic protection products within various retrofit applications. Being a consultancy company, offering designs, 3rd party verifications, CP computer modelling and integrity management services, we see a great potential in teaming up with a product vendor, allowing projects to be managed effectively in a seamless way. We are especially impressed by the robustness and simplicity of Deepwater's CP retrofit products. Already in this initiation phase of the collaboration we see great interest from several offshore oil and gas producers."

Jim Britton, CEO of Deepwater, told NDT News: "I have known the key players at FORCE in Norway for many years. I believe that they offer complementary technology to our systems. It will be beneficial to any of our customers charged with integrity management to be able to one-stop shop these solutions. We are particularly keen to explore the troubled FPSO market with our revolutionary new keel haul system, we see FORCE as a key team member in bringing this system to its full potential."
