AGR Technology Design at APPEA 2011

20/06/2011

With over 2800 people registered to attend and over 160 exhibiting companies at this year’s APPEA 2011 conference, which took place at the Perth Convention Centre, Western Australia, personnel from AGR Field Operations’ Manchester office were keen to assist their Australian colleagues to promote not only the broad range of services that AGR has to offer but also its advanced ultrasonic equipment, which is designed and developed by AGR Technology Design in the UK.

The conference is always a huge hit with delegates from all aspects of the oil and gas arena and is seen as the main place for networking for the upstream oil and gas industry in the southern hemisphere.

The show was attended by some of the biggest players in the oil and gas industry. General Manager for AGR Technology Design, Mark Clark, said: “We had lots of interest at the booth for the service side of AGR’s business, with many key clients taking the opportunity to speak to other managers across our divisions and exploring how AGR can prove to be their service provider of choice.

“Great interest was also shown during numerous demonstrations of our powerful TD Focus Scan, where companies and delegates went on to explain that they were now looking at bringing the testing in-house. They were overwhelmed by the feature-to-cost ratio that the TD Focus Scan can offer.”

Both Ian Baker (AGR Design & Development Manager) and Mark Clark teamed up with their Australian colleagues to demonstrate the power of the system at key meetings with blue-chip clients after the show had ended.

Ian Baker went on to say: “The general interest in bringing the testing in-house for a lot of companies seemed much more of a reality after seeing how powerful the system was whilst remaining user-friendly across our product range.”
