Latest Lavender expansion begins with new executive appointment

Lavender International has announced the appointment of Jill Thompson as its new Executive Assistant with effect from 25 April 2012. Jill will work alongside Steve Lavender and together their role will be to manage the company’s strategic plan. This will include the growth of the company in terms of succession planning, course and programme expansion, staff growth and development. With twenty years of
experience working in the public and private sectors in healthcare, most recently managing a practice of 40 members of staff, Jill has set out for a new challenge in the NDT world.Lavender International is at a crossroads and Jill’s role, which is also that of General Manager, is centred on working alongside Steve to establish a strategy for the future to ensure the continuing growth of Lavender International globally. This will include investment in advanced technology, managing the company and statutory regulations and procedures, and staff management to meet the needs of the changing business.
Whilst Jill’s professional career has been based around a totally different industry from NDT, her personal roots are very much in steel. She grew up in Sheffield and her father was one of the directors of British Steel in the 1970s. Having worked in the South of England for the last 20 years, Jill is enjoying re-discovering Yorkshire. She is married and in her spare time enjoys walking, travelling and spending quality time with her family.
