EMEA benefits from new IR windows manufacturing plant in USA

07/06/2013

IRISS Inc, manufacturer of the world’s only industrial grade infrared windows, has just relocated to a new, purpose-built headquarters and manufacturing facility in Florida, USA. This move is not just significant for the company’s customers in the USA, however, it also extends its capability and service to those in the UK and the wider EMEA.

The operational and performance benefits of IRISS shatterproof polymer windows have resulted in a worldwide soar in demand for the products. The US is the company’s main market and the reason why the new 3,000 square metres global headquarters building has been established in Florida. It is also ideally placed to serve Canada, a market that now benefits from the company’s recent CSA certification.

For IRISS customers in the UK and EMEA, the company’s increased commitment brings important benefits too. Purpose designed facilities for research and development, production and safety and maintenance training have been greatly increased. Manufacturing is based on LEAN principles to minimise lead times and in-house rapid prototyping allows customised solutions to be developed speedily and economically.

“The new facility is a centre of excellence for every aspect of our business and will have a positive impact on IRISS customers worldwide,” explained David Hinds, Sales and Marketing Manager, IRISS EMEA. “In particular, our enhanced research and development programmes will allow us to work even closer with customers to develop solutions to meet their specific needs.”
