The global Mistras Group has announced that as of 1 May 2013 all of its UK businesses, namely Mistras Physical Acoustics, Mistras ETS and Mistras Tekra, became one legal and operational entity known as Mistras Group Ltd.

This is in line with the Mistras Group’s global growth and capability strategy and comes at an exciting time in the expansion of its UK and European service and product divisions.

Mistras Group Ltd provides non-destructive testing, condition monitoring and rope access services and products throughout many different industries, including oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation (including renewables), civil engineering and aerospace.

Mistras Group Ltd currently has three operational sites in the UK: Cambridge (headquarters), Graythorp (north east England) and Bridgend (South Wales), with further locations planned for the near future.

From all of these locations, the following services and products can be provided on a local and global basis:
  • General NDT – UT, RT, ET, MT, PT, VT and PMI.
  • Advanced NDT – TOFD, phased/eddy current array, tube inspection (ECT, RFT, NFT, IRIS), corrosion mapping (LSI), storage tank inspection, guided wave and computed radiography.
  • Rope access – NDT inspection, construction, engineering and training school.
  • Remote on-line monitoring – the RMA system allows the status of a remotely located NDT system (AE, UT or vibration, strain) to be monitored over the internet.
  • Asset integrity management services, powered by Mistras Plant Condition Monitoring software.
  • Personnel resourcing services – vendor, welding, coating, QA/QC, mechanical, etc.
  • Technology packages: VPAC/5131 – Loss of control for valves in process plants; MONPAC – Acoustic emission pressure vessel testing; TANKPAC – Acoustic emission online tank floor inspection.
  • ULTRAPAC – ultrasonic immersion systems.
