Mr Cassidy commented: “I am looking forward to working with a highly motivated and experienced team that has a real desire to grow the business.

“My aim is to offer our clients an integrity management service where we can demonstrate a holistic integrity approach that complements our existing inspection, fabric maintenance and specialist services, to maintain plant integrity for life of field.

“We aim to establish ourselves as the leading technical centre for non-destructive testing services, here to advise and support our clients for implementing the best available techniques.”

He added: “Having been a customer of Bilfinger Salamis UK in previous roles, I was aware of the company’s history and I’m pleased to be joining the company in its 40th year in business.
