Element Metech A/S, part of Element Materials Technology, a leading provider of calibration and measurement technology services, has announced the successful opening of its state-of-the-art calibration laboratory in Herning, Denmark. The new laboratory further strengthens the company’s Nordic presence and demonstrates its commitment to advancing calibration technology and sustainable operations.
The modern 4200 m2 laboratory consolidates operations that were previously split between Karup and Lem. Environmental sustainability is at the forefront of the laboratory’s design, featuring super-insulated construction and solar panels to minimise its carbon footprint while maximising operational efficiency.
“The new Herning laboratory brings our expert teams together under one roof, allowing us to better serve our customers and create new opportunities for our people,” said Karin Abel, General Manager of Element Metech Denmark. “This consolidation very much strengthens our position as the leading calibration partner in the Nordic region.”
Matt Hopkinson, Executive Vice President for Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa (EMEAA) at Element Materials Technology, added: “This investment aligns perfectly with Element’s global strategy to expand our technical capabilities to meet the needs of our customers while prioritising sustainability. The Herning laboratory is a stunning facility and reinforces our commitment to long-term growth in the Nordic region.”
The grand opening celebration, officiated by Herning Mayor Dorte West, drew industry leaders, customers and local media. Guests explored the new laboratory through guided tours, witnessed live calibration demonstrations and learned about the laboratory’s cutting-edge technologies and sustainable design features.
This strategic investment reinforces Element Metech’s position as an industry leader while supporting regional economic growth and technological advancement in the calibration sector.
