Serco wins two key asset data management contracts

Serco has won two important contracts, together worth £250k, that strengthen its track record in rail asset data management.HSBC Rail has awarded Serco a major contract to manage asset data and documents supporting the overhaul and maintenance of HSBC Rail's vehicle fleets in the UK leasing market. Serco will be working with HSBC Rail as an engaged supplier to continue to develop these business critical services with HSBC Rail.
In a separate contract award, Angel Trains has appointed Serco to provide data management services supporting the maintenance of its vehicles leased into the European market. A web-based solution will be developed for their international fleets containing all configuration documentation and data for its growing portfolio of vehicles. The system will provide flexibility and rapid publication of vehicle datasets to meet the needs of Angel Trains' international customers and supply chain.
Mike North, Transport Business Director of Serco's assurance business, told NDT News: "These contracts show that vehicle owners recognise and value our Raildata services as being key to the efficiency of their supply chains and management of their assets."
