SGS Non-Destructive Testing Training and Examination Center tutor Oliver Sun has successfully completed the American Society of Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) Level 3 Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) and Radiographic Testing (RT) examinations. He is now the fourth SGS tutor holding ASNT certification.

Oliver Sun is a Bachelor of Mechanical Design and Manufacturing with many years of experience in non-destructive testing. The present ASNT certification is a valuable addition to his extensive Chinese Level 3 qualifications.

Mr Sun played an important role in the foundation of the new SGS NDT Training and Examination Center in Shanghai. Oliver joined the director, Jason Scott, to become the first Chinese technical member of the yet to be formed Training and Examination Center team. His contribution was crucial in the design and construction phase of the project.

SGS provides training and examinations to NDT technicians, managers and surveyors in accordance with recognised worldwide standards such as EN473/ISO9712/ASNT, with a particular focus on the demand for Personnel Certification of NDT scheme (PCN) which is managed by The British Institute of NDT (BINDT).
Beside the SGS NDT Training and Examination services, SGS Industrial division also provides comprehensive non-destructive testing services. The scope of SGS NDT covers both conventional and advanced NDT systems, provided by qualified inspectors to international standards around the world.
