BINDT appoints Deputy CEO

The British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT) has announced the appointment of Corinne Mackle in the role of Deputy CEO with immediate effect. Corinne will fulfil the role alongside her current responsibilities as Head of Publishing, Media and Marketing and Editor of the Institute’s publications.

Corinne has been a member of the Institute’s senior management team since 2012 and regularly attends meetings of a number of the Institute’s key committees and working groups, including Council, to assist and inform as the committees develop, refine and implement their strategic objectives.

Corinne joined the Institute’s Publishing Department in 2005 and has been instrumental in the continual development and improvement of all publications, communications and promotional activities, including recruiting and developing a capable team of editorial and marketing staff, and has served as Editor of the Institute’s publications, including its journal, Insight, and NDT News, since January 2018.

Having worked in close collaboration with Institute staff in all areas of the business over the past 19 years, Corinne has a broad knowledge and understanding of the Institute’s products and services and the requirements and expectations of its stakeholders and takes a keen interest in ensuring the work of the Institute and the offerings provided meet the future needs of its members and industry.

In her new role, Corinne will deputise for CEO David Gilbert both internally and externally as appropriate. David Gilbert, CEO, commented: “Corinne possesses a wealth of experience of BINDT’s operations and structure as well as expertise in management, leadership and communications. She is therefore well-equipped to take on the role of Deputy CEO and her appointment will further strengthen BINDT’s senior management team.”

I’m looking forward to working more closely with David and the Trustees as we further the Institute’s vision, mission and strategy for its future success and growth.”
