Worldwide shipments of the non-destructive testing industry's first computed radiography system designed and built specifically for industrial testing applications are now underway as planned and ahead of schedule.

Carestream Health's Kodak Industrex manufacturing facilities in North America began taking orders several months ago for the innovative Kodak Industrex HPX-1 System after its highly successful debut at the ASNT Digital Conference at the Foxwoods Resort in July.  Developed specifically for the non-destructive testing market, the Kodak Industrex HPX-1 is now being shipped to meet the unique demands of industrial applications worldwide.

"Customer response to this new product has been outstanding – and manufacturing, distribution and support teams are prepared to meet the high demand for this revolutionary product," says Marty Graen, Vice President & Worldwide General Manager, NDT Solutions. "We have spent many years teaming our global imaging experts with our NDT customers to develop this revolutionary product; a computed radiography system designed from ground up for the specific needs of non-destructive testing professionals and applications.  Our customers are utilising this system to improve their imaging capabilities, reduce their costs and optimise their workflow."

With features such as flexible plate and rigid cassette capability, multi-plate handling to boost output productivity, positive pressure fans and filters to keep out dust and debris, and a vibration resistant design, the HPX-1 is able to meet the demand for a computed radiography system that can reliably and dependably produce weld-quality images in the harsh and challenging environments of industrial applications.
