Matrix Inspection and SPI join forces

SPI NDT Limited of Immingham, North East Lincolnshire, has joined forces with IRISNDT. From 1 October 2010, SPI operates with IRISNDT’s existing specialist NDT services company, Matrix Inspection (UK). Roman Kyrnyckyj, Founder and Managing Director of SPI NDT, will join the senior management team of IRISNDT as Managing Director of IRISNDT UK.

Matrix Inspection (UK) of Stockton-on-Tees was established in 2006 to provide a full range of specialist inspection services for the process industries. Matrix Inspection is managed by Simon Butler, Operations Director, and Martin Peacock, Technical Director. The Stockton office will continue to offer world-class specialist inspection services with the addition of SPI’s full range of conventional NDT services, including a radiography bay.

Established in 1991, SPI NDT Limited was formed to provide reliable and accurate NDT services at cost-effective prices. The company will continue to provide its full range of standard NDT services together with the existing mechanical testing laboratory and heat treatment ovens at its Immingham base. The SPI Hull office also provides ship surveys and EEMUA tank surveys.

Thermal Technologies Inc (TTI), another recent addition to IRISNDT, is of significant value to SPI. With TTI, SPI offers on-site heat treatment and bolting services to the existing heat treatment facilities of the Immingham office. With these additions, the IRISNDT family now includes:
