Expansion for GB Inspection Systems

Ultrasonic probe manufacturer GB Inspection Systems (GBIS), established in 1984 by Richard Gauge and Mike Bailey and synonymous with quality ultrasonic probes and supplier of NDT consumables and accessories, has been acquired by Bowmonk Ltd. This brings an exciting phase to GBIS’s development.
The new Chairman, Roy Street, and Managing Director, Ernie Hill, bring a wealth of international business experience to the company.Expansion plans are well under way with the first phase already in place. In addition to the Chairman and the Managing Director there are an extra seven staff now on board, contributing to strengthening the company’s manufacturing, product development and marketing activities.
Notable appointments include Neil Smith, who has taken on the role of General Manager, Kenny Choong as Technical Development and Customer Support Engineer and Vicky Kett-Davies in Administration.
Richard Gauge and Mike Bailey will continue to play an important role in customer support and will assist in the development of new products and markets.
Existing customers will continue to receive the same level of commitment and assistance from the GBIS staff, together with same range of products and services they have received over the years.
However, improved delivery times are now available, with some items available directly from stock, and easy access to technical data will follow shortly.
This is an exciting time for GB with the new website already launched and further expansion in export markets planned.
