Doran releases 360OTR tyre monitoring system
29/11/2024
Doran Manufacturing has introduced the Doran 360OTR tyre monitoring system, which it claims reduces tyre-related production interruptions by monitoring tyre inflation pressures/temperatures and alerting drivers of problems in real time. Large bore, external, valve stem-mounted sensors pass tyre pressure and temperature data to the in-cab monitor/display, providing drivers with real-time information and alerts.
With the patented Green Means Good light-emitting diode (LED) indicator, Doran said drivers can tell at a glance if there is an issue with one of their tyres, as well as its location and pressure. The system can be integrated with telematics devices to provide off-vehicle communications of tyre pressure and temperature data through RS232, J1708 and J1939 data protocols. Doran said its 360OTR tyre monitoring systems also include visual and audible alerts for low inflation pressure, rapid deflation events and high tyre temperatures.
Designed to handle the extreme environmental conditions found in mines, quarries, construction sites, ports and more, Doran said its tyre monitoring systems are designed to withstand excessive heat and vibration, providing the longevity needed for performance in off-road environments of all types.
The SmartLink Tablet can also be used to access tyre pressure data by reading individual sensor data and collecting data from all sensors programmed into the Doran One-Click Transceiver with the Equipment Walk Around feature.
According to Doran, its tyre monitoring systems are ideal for articulated haul trucks, rigid frame haul trucks, wheel loaders, mobile cranes, container stackers, over-the-road trucks and fleets, ready-mix/concrete, dump trucks, waste and recycling vehicles and more.
