New products launched at NDT 2014

13/10/2014

For ETher NDE, Baugh & Weedon and Imaginos NDE it marked the start of a very busy autumn exhibition schedule, which includes multiple trips to the USA and Europe for various NDT and industry-specific shows, including InnoTrans (Berlin), the European Conference on Non-Destructive Testing (Prague) and the ASNT Fall Conference 2014 (USA).

At NDT 2014, all three companies were positioned next to each other. This was a beneficial layout as it meant that potential clients were easily able to understand the relationship between the three companies and appreciate that they are growing into a collection of NDT-focused businesses that really can offer them the application solutions they will need in NDT.

ETher NDE used the show as an opportunity to formally launch the AeroCheck+. Although it has been available for some weeks now, NDT 2014 was its first outing into the exhibition arena. Its dual-frequency, conductivity measurement capabilities and how-to ‘guides’ feature have been received well in the market place. John Hansen used these features to present a paper at the conference on designing and manufacturing EC flaw detectors for today’s market.

For Baugh & Weedon, the show provided another chance to put its smallest employee, Andy Tee, and his one-third scale, fully-functioning Magazon EBU 2000 MPI bench to work, yet again attracting attention and compliments for the level of engineering, time and effort that went into the build.

It was also a platform to launch the Baugh & Weedon Audit 207 UT thickness gauge. With a vast history of providing the industry with quality UT thickness gauges, it seemed an appropriate opportunity for this product launch, which reflects the company’s direction going forward: to provide the industry with reliability, quality and up-to-the-minute technology.

Imaginos NDE used the exhibition to once again showcase the PRAGMA PAUT technology, as well as the Imperium UT camera, the Accoustocam.

With PRAGMA sales going well in Europe and some specific applications satisfied in the UK with the PRAGMA equipment, it is establishing itself well in the European market.

Pete Burrows, Baugh Weedon’s Sales Manager who attended NDT 2014, said: “This year’s exhibition has been a great opportunity to catch up with clients and fellow NDT colleagues in what has been a very busy year. We are now looking forward to going to ECNDT in Prague, where we anticipate our products will be received with equal enthusiasm.”
