AGR gets wide spectrum of visitors at Quality NDT Conference in Orlando

Orlando, Florida, in May is hot, cloudless, not too humid and ideal for spending relaxing days at the poolside under the palm trees, drinking umbrella- and hibiscus-bedecked cocktails from a frosted glass…dream on, because the combined team of AGR and Newco were hard at work exhibiting the TD Handy-Scan and TD Pocket-Scan systems at the Quality NDT Conference held at the superb Caribe Royale Orlando Hotel and Conference Centre. The show was, as NDT conferences go, a relatively small gathering aimed largely at the measurement industry rather than NDT. "However, having said that, we received a wide spectrum of visitors from industries including aerospace, component manufacturers, marine and specialist quality controllers," said Mark Nel, Applications Advisor of AGR Field Operations.
"As to be expected, one of the undercurrents of conversation was the current economic situation and its effects on our industry," he continued, "but despite the gloomy picture painted by media reports, there was an overriding upbeat attitude amongst both exhibitors and visitors that, with a little faith, hard work and common sense, the future does not look too bad."
