Lavender International has planned its future investment for NDT training programmes in support of UK industry.A computed radiography training programme is now in place and, with the employment of new staff member Roy Smith to champion the programme, it is expected that courses will be available by the end of the year. Certification programmes to SNT and PCN schemes will follow.
Staff members Paul Jones and Andy Young have extended their aerospace experience into composite materials technology through working with the ultrasonic testing of these advanced materials. Highly specialised testing equipment and samples have been ordered from Sonatest, and Lavenders are in the process of designing training and examination programmes for companies who utilise this equipment for the ultrasonic testing of composite materials.
Working closely with TSC Inspection Systems to move forward the alternating current field measurement (ACFM) programme, a commitment has now been made to purchasing equipment in support of this programme development and companies around the world who are using this technology.
Meanwhile, Lavenders’ training and examination programmes for phased array and time-of-flight diffraction continue apace and, to support all this expansion, the company has committed major investment to sample purchases for both training and examination purposes.
Co-Managing Director Steve Lavender told NDT News: “This investment will tell the NDT industry what our services are about and what we do. This investment will be a massive benefit to the world of advanced NDT training.
“Lavender International is at the forefront of providing quality advanced NDT training programmes and this is achieved by the support of an innovative and forward-thinking board,” he concluded.
