05/09/2013
Matthews Training has announced that, at the June 2013 API 510 and 570 exams, 35 out of 36 candidates registered first-time passes. Top marks of 94% were achieved by Paul Wilkinson and Steve Day; well done to them. The full results chart is available for review on the Matthews Training website.Over the past ten years, Matthews Engineering Training Ltd has expanded the scope of its inspection training activities, from its start in short plant inspection courses to coverage of API 510/570/653 Certified Inspector and ASME Plant Inspector qualifications. This July saw the start of the first API 580 RBI MET-ONLINE training course for the September exam. The next new online course, API 571 Damage Mechanisms, starts in January 2014 for the March exams.
Central to the development of Matthews Training has been the increase in popularity of its API 510/570/653 Certified Inspector programme in the UK. Based on US codes, the programme has been running worldwide for many years but has been adapted for UK learning styles by Matthews Training, using a combination of online and residential course elements. This has proven successful in achieving a first-time pass rate of 90-95% against a worldwide average of about 60%.
Matthews Training Ltd courses can be seen on its website (address below). If you have not received your US-code guide, contact Cliff Matthews at enquiries@matthews-training.co.uk or telephone 07732 799351 for your free copy.
