Scope of work:
The company is looking for a Lead Metallurgy and Corrosion Engineer to provide specialist technical input to support engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities. The scope includes materials engineering, corrosion management, welding engineering oversight and development of project specifications and documentation.
The project involves the development of energy infrastructure for processing, handling, storage or utilisation of industrial fluids or gases. Facilities may include onshore and/or offshore systems, incorporating new installations and integration with existing infrastructure. This role supports the client in ensuring safe, reliable, cost-effective and compliant design solutions aligned with applicable codes, standards and project requirements. The contractor has autonomy over methods and schedule, provided deliverables meet agreed deadlines.
Key requirements:The successful candidate must deliver the following engineering documents and provide technical support within budget and schedule constraints:- Specification for fabrication of piping systems
- Specification for welding/non-destructive testing (NDT) for piping
- Specification for welding/NDT for equipment
- Specification for welding/NDT for pipeline (where applicable)
- Specification for insulation (and fire protection where applicable)
- Specification for painting and coating (various)
- Specification for corrosion control and monitoring
- Specification for positive material identification (PMI) (as required)
- Material selection diagrams
- Material selection report
- Corrosion management plan (where applicable).
