Austenitic stainless steel is widely used in the manufacture and storage of petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical and other industries due to its good corrosion resistance. During processing and operation of austenitic stainless steel components, stress, temperature and other loads cause the precipitation of martensite. The presence of martensite causes the corrosion resistance of austenitic stainless steel to decrease. It is one of the important reasons for the failure of austenite stainless steel equipment in use. In this paper, different martensite content is obtained through different tensile test specimens. The linear relationship between martensite content and magnetic permeability of austenitic stainless steel is found, and the law of surface leakage magnetic field corresponding to different martensite content is obtained. The relationship equation of magnetic characterisation parameters of martensite content was established. Based on the previous research of martensite content and corrosion resistance, the magnetic characterisation parameters of the corrosion resistance of austenitic stainless steel were proposed and applied to petrochemicals in use. Device for monitoring the corrosion resistance of austenitic stainless steel pipes.
