Adaptation of the spectral kurtosis technology to improve damage diagnosis of gearboxes run in varying conditions of speed and load

Abstract

Real world rotating machinery is rarely run in constant speed and load conditions during its working life, though these changes in operating conditions affect the vibration signals collected from the system. As such, applying constant signal processing parameters will not always garner the highest possible chance of correct diagnosis. Adaptation of the Spectal Kurtosis technology is utilised to improve the damage diagnosis across multiple combinations of operating parameters.
