Just two miles from Nottingham city centre, the East Midlands Conference Centre (EMCC) and Orchard Hotel are only ten minutes from Junction 25 of the M1 and 20 minutes from East Midlands Airport, with direct trains into central London.Nottingham is a large city in the East Midlands with an award-winning public transport system. It is well known internationally for its links with the Robin Hood legends and for the hilltop Nottingham Castle Museum and Art Gallery. Directions
By car
Leave the M1 motorway at junction 25 and follow the A52 signposted to Nottingham. After approximately 4.4 miles turn right at the roundabout (Miller and Carter) onto the A6464 Woodside Road. Turn left at the next roundabout to enter the University of Nottingham's West Entrance. The EMCC is situated on Beeston Road, which is the main loop road through the campus. By rail
The nearest stations to the EMCC are Beeston Station and Nottingham. There are over 30 direct trains that travel between St Pancras and Nottingham on a daily basis. By Air
From East Midlands Airport, the EMCC is just 14 miles away via the M1 North leaving at junction 25 and following the A52. There is also the regular Skylink Nottingham bus, leaving directly from the airport directed to Broad Marsh Bus Station. Alight at Beeston, which is the stop for the main university campus, a few minutes walk from the entrance to the EMCC.
Manchester Airport is located via the M56 at Junction 5. The M56 provides direct links to the M6 and the M60, ensuring ease of accessibility whether travelling from the North or South. Train services run frequently seven days a week through national train operators TransPennine Express, Northern Rail and Arriva Trains Wales, to or from Manchester Piccadilly. Manchester Airport is well served by a network of local and regional buses, running daily from early morning to late night, including weekends and bank holidays.
Heathrow Airport is 15 miles west of central London and easily reached by road or public transport. Trains offer the quickest link between Heathrow and central London. Heathrow Express and Heathrow Connect are the two services to choose from. London Underground's Piccadilly Line provides the most cost-effective rail route between Heathrow and the capital. Bus services link Heathrow with the national rail network at Feltham, Reading, Woking and Watford Junction.
