Eddyfi was established in 2009, in the aftermath of the recession, with the goal of pursuing and developing eddy current array (ECA) technology to its full potential.
Eddyfi has invested heavily in R&D and new product development, and expanded from its initial beachhead markets – surface inspection in the nuclear and power generation industries – to other markets, such as oil & gas, heavy industries and aerospace. The company is currently active in the surface and tubing inspection of ferrous and non-ferrous materials using eddy currents and other electromagnetic techniques.
Eddyfi has customers in more than 50 countries spread out over six continents. It is headquartered in the advanced NDT hub of Québec City, Canada, and has offices in Lyon, France, and Houston, USA. Eddyfi is both independent and privately owned and now employs over 100 professionals and some of the world’s most renowned ET experts in Canada, the USA, Europe and the Middle East.
Eddyfi focuses on offering high-end and advanced eddy current and electromagnetic solutions for the inspection of critical components and assets. It is said to develop the industry’s best performing and most reliable test instruments, acquisition and analysis software, as well as standard and, more importantly, specialised surface array and tubing probes.
