Technology Design (TD) Ltd has been at the forefront of computerised UT since 1995 and claims to have produced the first miniature multi-channel TOFD and pulse-echo system; small enough to fit into an overall pocket.
Based in Cheshire, in the north west of England, TD’s innovative approach to ultrasonic technology addressed the need for miniaturisation in the emerging computerised industrial ultrasonic industry. Having developed possibly the most compact combined time-of-flight diffraction (TOFD) and pulse-echo ultrasonic instrumentation and software on the market at the time, it was from this solid experience that TD developed its range of leading- edge instruments, including the miniature TD Pocket-Scan®, the remarkably successful TD Handy-Scan®, the TD Scan® and the flagship system the TD Focus-Scan®. TD’s acquisition systems are used for the application of pulse-echo, TOFD and phased array ultrasonics in a wide range of industrial endeavours. The tradition of producing compact, advanced multi-functional ultrasonic acquisition equipment and software has remained the guiding philosophy of the design team, drawing on its combined decades of experience in NDT, electronics and software industries.
TD specialises in the design, development and manufacture of high-performance ultrasonic data acquisition systems. The company also combines phased array, TOFD and pulse echo into a convenient and powerful range of instruments, designed to suit the widest spread of applications, which are supplied worldwide.
