Ultrasonic Sciences Ltd
Stand C5
Established in 1987, Ultrasonic Sciences Ltd will be using Materials Testing 2015 to market its range of automated and semi-automated ultrasonic inspection systems for industrial and research applications. These include immersion, squirter (water jet), irrigated and in-line units incorporating state-of-the-art ultrasonics in single, multi-channel and phased array modes.
A highlight of the display will be the new PC-based pulser receiver board based on the well-established PM30 unit, which is widely used in industry. The new board incorporates a 250 MHz, 14-bit analogue-to-digital converter in addition to the already impressive range of functions, including <0.5-35 MHz range, 120 dB gain, 60 Bd distance amplitude correction, programmable filters and remote pulser-preamplifier/multiplexer.
Applications range from the inspection of highly attenuating composite materials, through industrial inspection of forgings, plate and tube to advanced materials research.
