About the conference

10-12 September 2018, East Midlands Conference Centre and Orchard Hotel, Nottingham, UK

Registration is now open for the 57th Annual British Conference on Non-Destructive Testing, taking place from Monday 10 to Wednesday 12 September 2018 at the East Midlands Conference Centre and Orchard Hotel, Nottingham, UK.

For the first time, the conference will be co-located with the Fifteenth International Conference on Condition Monitoring and Machine Failure Prevention Technologies (CM 2018/MFPT 2018), which will allow delegates to customise their experience by visiting both events under one roof.

BINDT has always recognised the importance of encouraging students to participate in this major international event. As a repeat to the gesture in 2017, the 57th Annual British Conference on Non-Destructive Testing will be providing generous sponsorship of student registrations in 2018, resulting in a major reduction of fees for student attendance.

There will be three parallel technical sessions covering a broad range of NDT technologies and applications.

Offers of papers will be invited on all aspects of non-destructive testing, including:

Rail and axle testing
AerospacePower generation
Nuclear
NDT of food
NDT in forensic science
Automated and robotic NDT

A Conference Proceedings USB will be published and one copy will be provided for each delegate.

Conference Proceedings will be published in the form of extended abstracts (max 12 pages of A4 text) and one copy will be provided for each delegate. Full written papers that are submitted may be refereed with a view to publication in Insight.

Awards are presented for the best paper in the Proceedings and the best paper by a person in the early stages (first five years) of their career. The winning paper will be selected based on both the quality of the paper and the presentation.
