NDT solutions for renewable energy workshop, exhibition and Burns Supper

This one-day seminar, was held from 10h30-15h30 at the Lynnhurst Hotel on Friday 27 January 2023, and included six technical presentations that will brought together experts and researchers in NDT solutions with the renewable energy sector and in particular, provide a forum for NDT specialists working in industry to bring their perspectives on current solutions and future developments. There was also equipment manufacturers/suppliers present for demonstrations and a real hands-on experience.

The Lynnhurst Hotel is ideally placed in Johnstone, which is just 10 miles from Glasgow Airport. Glasgow City Centre is within easy reach and Johnstone railway station is just a few hundred metres away.

An NDT table-top exhibition was held from 10h00-16h00. The exhibition was open to all members, non-members, visitors and students FREE of charge. Delegates of the workshop had the opportunity to visit the exhibition during the tea/coffee and lunch breaks.

In the evening from 18h00 for 19h00, following a networking period, the venue hosted the Annual Burns Supper, a celebration of the life and works of Robert Burns, with a traditional four-course meal, toasts, poetry, music, songs and dancing.
