Hotter and smarter: ultrasonic monitoring as a service for high-temperature assets*
The demand for on-stream inspection and continuous monitoring of high-energy pipelines and pressure vessels with operating at temperatures up to 600°C, is rapidly increasing, driven by the need to mitigate corrosion and erosion risks whilst optimising maintenance schedules, and reducing outages.
Presented here is a technology overview, including ultrasonic ultra-high temperature sensors capable of continuous in-service monitoring up to 600°C, that support data-driven risk-based inspection decisions, and more predictable fitness-for-service assessments.
